Off to the mines so I can afford IVF

I have made a ground-breaking decision. I will be getting IVF. I always wondered how, because it costs alot of money. It's hard to find 9k upfront. But now that I have found a way to - my IVF dream will become reality.

It has been 5 years of marriage this year with my husband, and 7 years together. I am turning 32 and he just turned 32.

I am getting my truck licence, and have booked the dates to do. It's quite scary.

I will be moving far away from my husband for 3 weeks at a time in my 21 day on 7 day off roster.

The things we will do when we really want something.

I feel strangely sad and depressed. I'm not sure why yet. But I know this is all for the good of what we want.

I will keep this short, but if you are interested to know more about IVF check out this link -

there's also a bunch of other options like IUI that will give you a bit more insight.

Drop me a line if you are considering or have done IVF.

Would love to know how you went.

  1. Good on you girl! I know it is a big sacrifice but you gotta do what you gotta do and it will be worth it in the end. You are already acting like a mother- selfless, driven and ready to face the unknown. We sold our house so we could free up money to start us down the PGD road. At the time it was a BIG deal (and we had no idea that in the end we'd need triple what the sale yielded!) but with these two kickers in my tummy now, I could not IMAGINE having things the other way around.

Best of luck and keep us updated!
