Best Baby Shower Games
How To Host a Good Baby Shower!
Check out our list of best baby shower games here!
In the meantime, it's not just the games you need to get right, there's other things you can do to really make your baby shower 'pop!' - excuse the pun!
What Time Are You Having it?
Firstly you need to decide if your baby shower is going to be in the morning or afternoon? Or perhaps you want to have a lunch affair, or break tradition and do a cocktail style dinner? What Type Of Theme Will You Have?
Although it's not essential some people like to have a theme! The last baby shower I went to was all about the color blue and elephants! The theme you choose can dictate the type of fun you will have at the party and you can go ahead and decorate accordingly. For instance you might choose to have a cake, so in this instance, the cake was a blue elephant!
What Sort of Food Will You Have?
Will you be having a high tea with cupcakes, shortbread and sandwiches, or will you just be having nibblies on the back patio? Some people like to have a southern bbq, whilst others like to have sausage rolls and cheerios. Others go all out with salads, hams and potato bakes and potato salad.
The time of the day you have the baby shower often can dictate what type of food you decide on.
Where Are You Holding It
Just remember if you do decide to host the shower at a restaurant or park or somewhere other than somebodies house, you won't be able to do a couple of the games like the 'ice-cube baby' game, because they involve you being able to take your frozen cubes out of the freezer. The upside though is if you hold the baby shower somewhere else, you don't have to clean up and it probably won't cost you as much because usually everyone will buy their own drinks and food at the establishment themselves.
Hosting a baby shower can be quite daunting if it's your first time, but don't worry, most people are in usually in good spirits and just happy to see a glowing mother-to-be and play a few little games (make sure you have the best baby shower games by clicking here!)and catch up on chit-chatter.
Goodluck if you are holding a baby shower, and if you are the mother-to-be I wish you a happy and healthy delivery too!
