Ectopic pregnancy signs can be hard to read because sometimes it can be mistaken for period cramping or pains, or even just normal early signs of pregnancy in the form of morning sickness symptoms! It is easier to detect an ectopic pregnancy these days though because of all the new forms of modern technology that are in place.

So how do you know if you having an ectopic pregnancy?

Well let's start with what an ectopic pregnancy actually is.
If your embryo attaches itself to somewhere in your body and begins growing in a place other than inside of your uterus than you are experiencing an ectopic, or tubal pregnancy.
This can happen when the egg doesn't get through the fallopian tube quick enough to enter the uterus. Instead it could get trapped there if your tubes have blockages or scar tissue and inflammation.

Signs Of An Ectopic Pregnancy

- vaginal bleeding
- missed period up to about the 8th week into your pregnancy
- pain in your lower abdomen varying from sharp and stabbing to dull and aching
- lower back pain
- lowered blood pressure


So how can you tell for sure if you have an ectopic pregnancy?
It can be difficult to tell since alot of the signs mimic a normal pregnancy.
The only way to tell for sure is to firstly get a blood test to confirm a pregnancy and if you are indeed pregnant, you can than go ahead and have a vaginal ultrasound scan to detect where the embryo has implanted.
