Progesterone Levels:
Discover why this hormone is so important
Whatever the reason, if you think you have low progesterone, you need to rectify it so that you can safely become pregnant and maintain and sustain your pregnancy without the threat of miscarriage.
Here's a short video about why progesterone is so important and how it works in our bodies:
What Is Progesterone?
Without progesterone, your uterus is a hostile and unwelcoming place for any embryo. If you don't have enough, your embryo may start to grow but than miscarriage from lack of the hormone to sustain its growth.
If you have low progesterone, then you might have a luteal phase defect. But if this sounds like your situation, there's no need to panic. There are actually things you can do to fix your hormonal imbalance.
I actually had low progesterone, but through some changes, I now have the correct levels of progesterone to get pregnant.
Checking Your Progesterone Levels
If your temperature isn't slightly elevating in the second half of your cycle after ovulation, or if your temps aren't staying elevated for a minimum of 10 days (but preferably 14 days), than you could have progesterone deficiency issues.
You can correct your progesterone problem with progesterone cream, progesterone injections each month, by taking pessaries or suppositories, or you can do it naturally like I did by using a herb called Chasteberry (or Vitex Agnus Cactus).
It takes about 6 months to do it this way, but it also helps to regulate your cycle so that you aren't having a 34 day cycle and than a 26 day cycle - it helps to make your period dates more predictable and also helps to balance your progesterone hormone.
