Bulgaria Adoption: How Do You Adopt From Bulgaria?

Bulgaria Adoption:
How Do You Adopt From Bulgaria?

bulgaria adoption
Bulgaria Adoption is a possibility with about 40 children adopted out to United States citizens in 2010. There are healthy children along with specials need children available for adoption. To adopt in Bulgaria you don't need to be in a couple, but they do currently require you to be atleast 15 years older than the child, but no more than 45 years older than the child you adopt.
Bulgaria does prefer smaller families who wish to adopt.
Bulgaria requires you to provide them with regular reports, post-adoption.
Usually children are between the ages of 12 months through to school age.

Check out this amazing video about one couples adoption of a child from Bulgaria:

To be able to go through with the adoption process you will be required to make two trips to the country, each one being for a duration of 5 days.
Like with adoption in most countries the longest part about being able to adopt is the time from when you have submitted your dossier through to the paperwork being processed. After this has happened it is usually a 4 to 6 month wait.

Deciding whether to adopt

Deciding to adopt is a very big decision - it involves alot of time, energy, patience, and alot like people who have been trying to conceive a baby naturally for a long time, it's hard for you to put an end date in site.
How soon you adopt is out of your hands and is really dependant upon the laws of the country in which you decide to adopt from.
However, if you feel you can provide a child with a home and provide them with love and all the things for healthy growth the wait will be worth it.
If you want to know a bit more about how adoption works, you could start with a place like the Adoption Network Law Center.
Goodluck on your Bulgaria adoption journey if you decide to go through with everything!
