The following poses a suggestion to what type of food you could eat for a day (consult your doctor or dietician first):
You could have a piece of toast with baked beans on it for breakfast, followed by a yoghurt for morning tea. You could follow up with some chicken and salad in a pita bread for lunch, followed by a piece of fruit like an apple or orange for afternoon tea.Finish the day with a dinner that has protein and vegetables in it. It's always good to have the meat part of your meal about the size of the palm of your hand. So you could have something like lamb, beef, pork or chicken and as a side to the meat some vegetables such as broccoli and cauliflower, with a cob of corn and perhaps peas or beans and small piece of pumpkin or potato.
One that is filled with fruit, vegetables, lots of water, protein, fish and iron-rich foods like red meat, green vegetables and pulses.
