Ovarian Cysts Treatment:
How to get rid of annoying cysts!
When you are in your child-bearing years you will have functional cysts known as follicular cysts. These types of cysts usually form and rupture naturally from one to three months.
Most cysts when they do rupture and disappear rarely cause any problems, and you usually won't even know it has happened.
To work out how or if treatment is necessary for your ovarian cysts an ultrasound is usually conducted.
During that ultrasound the technician can determine whether the cyst is safe to leave alone and is just fluid and no solid tissue, or if it is a cyst that could potentially come with complications.
This type of cyst, also called a compound cyst may be monitored for a while to see what it does, and if it turns to that it may need removal than surgery may be required.
What Factors Are Considered For Ovarian Cysts Treatment
Your age, the size of the cyst and whether it changes in size or structure will be taken into account before any removal is done.
For removal to occur you usually either have to have severe and unrelenting pain that won't let up, or if the ultrasound is showing and revealing the cyst to be suspicious and potentially dangerous (eg - it could look cancerous or have the potential to be) than you may require it to be removed.
