Fun Baby Shower Games
Make Your Baby Shower The Best!

If you are hosting or holding a baby shower, you are going to want really fun baby shower games to entertain your guests with! Baby shower games are like the heart of a baby shower, so you need to make sure you have a few good ones. It's always a good idea to try and have about 4 or 5 games to keep the party moving along nicely, and the games serve as a good ice-breaker for people who don't know each other too.
I have compiled a list of all the best and fun baby shower games that people enjoy playing, all you have to do is pick a few that might go well at your shower.

Dress Up Your Baby Game

One of the most common fun baby shower games is this one!
Basically this game involves using a doll to dress it from head to toe in baby clothes, so starting with the nappy, the socks, mittens, jumper suit and right through to the hat! The winner is whoever dresses the baby in the fastest time!

Toilet Roll Game

One of the other fun baby shower games is the toilet roll game!
The idea behind this game is to see who comes closest to guessing the girth of the mother-to-be. So basically you start by passing around a couple of toilet rolls to all the guests. Each person has to tear off the length they believe will come closest to going around the mother-to-be's belly!
After everyone has selected the length they are happy with, each person takes turns wrapping the toilet paper around the mum-to-be's belly.
Closest to guess, wins! It's that simple (and easy to put together!)

Baby Ice-Cube Game

One of the other most popular and fun baby showers games is the ice-cube baby game!
And although it takes a little forward preparation, it's quite easy too!
Basically you need to buy some little plastic babies, if you can't find tiny plastic babies, substitute with jelly beans.
Take however many ice-cube trays you will need (each ice-cube block is for one person), than put your baby or jelly bean into the middle of each water-filled cube. Set and freeze in the freezer.
Once they are frozen (which I would recommend not leaving until the day of the shower to do) give each person a cube and the idea is to see who 'gives birth' to their baby first. No one is allowed to break or crack the ice, they have to rub it until it melts. So whoever melts their ice and releases the baby/jellybean is the winner!

Guess What's In The Nappy Game

Another of the popular fun baby shower games is the 'what's in the nappy game?' Buy a few different tins or glass jars of baby food, then get some disposable diapers and fill them each with a different baby food. Baby food can look really disgusting, so it just adds to the fun!
Pass the nappy around to each player, players should write down what they think the flavor is. Whoever gets the most right flavor guesses, wins!

Clothes Peg Game

The clothes peg game is very easy to prepare, but ends up being one of the most comprehensive games... why? Because it is played from the moment your guests walk through the door until the final baby shower game is played.
Take all your clothes pegs off your line, put them in a tub, and as people turn up you need to ask them to grab 5 pegs out of the tub and clip them to their clothing.
Before the baby shower game starts you need to pick two words (the word 'baby' and the mother-to-be's name are two good ones!).
Whenever someone says one of those words the first player to notice can take one of their pegs. The winner is whoever has the most pegs on them after all the games are played.
This is one of the fun baby shower games that will keep your guests laughing and alert minute to minute!

Baby Pictionary

Another great game to make it into our most popular and fun baby shower games list is baby pictionary!
Baby pictionary involves you splitting guests into two teams. Each team has to guess what the drawer in their team is drawing.
So team one might have the words:
- Rattle - Bottle - Diaper - Baby - Thermometer
Team two might have the words:
- Socks - Bib - Crib - Dummy - Pram
The idea is for each team to guess what the drawer is drawing.
The catch is they only have 15 seconds to guess or they miss the point. The team with the most points wins! The drawer cannot talk, mimic or hand-gesture - it all comes down to the drawing.
Feel free to throw in a couple of trickier things to draw, have you ever tried to draw a uterus or ovary and guess what it was??! Out of all the fun baby shower games, this one has the potential to really get a laugh!

Baby Shower Memory Game

The memory game takes a little bit of preparation, but can be one of the more enjoyable and fun baby shower games.
The easiest way is to print out pictures off your computer (go to google and select images, or go to clip art and do a search).
You want to print off about 25 different pictures and glue them to a big piece of cardboard. The idea is once the pictures are all in place, everybody gets a notepad and pen at the ready!
After they have looked at all the pictures for a minute, they have another minute to jot down all the items they can remember on the board. The person who remembers the most items, wins!
You could put up pictures of many different things like baby wipes, dummies, crib, nappy, mittens, socks or booties, beanie or hat, singlet, safety pin, cardigan, etc...

Fill In The Nursery Rhyme Game

Find a few nursery rhymes and blank out a few spots in each one. Print them out on a piece of paper and copy enough so that each guest has a piece of paper.
For instance:
Twinkle, twinkle little star How I wonder what you are up above the _____ so high like a _____ in the sky Twinkle, twinkle little star How I wonder what you are
OR
Bah bah black sheep have you any wool yes sir, yes sir three bags full one for the _____ and one for the _____ one for the little ____ who lives down the ______
The idea is for the players to fill in the blanks. Whoever gets the most correct answers wins!

When having a baby shower, it's all about the presentation. Have some nice nibblies out on the table, a few balloons and streamers to give it a festive feel - because after all this is a celebratory occasion!
It's always a good idea to have some little prizes to give out. They don't have to be expensive. Always have one game where the prize will go to the baby mama!
Prizes can include things like tweezers, pens, compact mirrors, 'shower' gel, or even just chocolate! You can put all the gifts in a basket so everytime somebody wins they can pick the gift they like best from the basket.
The prize for baby mama could be something useful like a box of nappies!
Goodluck planning your baby shower and I hope some of these games become the highlight of your day, giving you laughter, fun and relaxion - before the big event of babies arrival!
