Do you know your Reasons For Infertility?

Do you know your
Reasons For Infertility?

Everyone has their own individual reasons for why they are having trouble becoming pregnant.

Knowing what your reasons for infertility can give you just the information you need to implement vital changes, therefore improving your chances to become pregnant.

Perhaps through testing you might discover you and your partner require assistance to fall pregnant (say through a fertility clinic), or you may find you or your partner need to address some personal health issues that are holding you back from becoming pregnant, like your weight for instance?

Maybe being infertile for you is something as simple as not timing intercourse correctly (yes, there are times of the month where your fertility greatly increases and then greatly decreases, knowing when does help!), or, as in my case, one of my reasons for infertility is to do with a polyp that was discovered in my uterus (see my personal infertility story to find out more).

In my case, the polyp acts like a natural form of contraception in my uterus, making a sustained pregnancy difficult. The polyp eliminates anything else that tries to make a home for itself in my uterus, including a growing baby.

It's not just females who can experience trouble trying to conceive though, did you know alot of males, and couples have trouble with their fertility too? Infact males account for about 40% of infertility problems.

Reasons for Infertility

Unfortunately, there are many reasons why you could be infertile. It's all about narrowing things down enough so that you can learn exactly what is stopping your body from being able to fall pregnant.
Infertility exists in men just as much as in women. For instance, the male may have a good sperm count, or record a high volume of sperm. That's great right? Should be no problems yeah? Wrong!
He might have alot of sperm but if they can't swim properly, then they can't reach the egg to fertilise it!
Perhaps the sperm aren't shaped properly? Maybe he has plenty of sperm, but most of them are abnormal?
Sadly, our bodies are intricate and for pregnancy to occur there's alot of things that need to be right!
If the sperm can't make the journey to the egg for any reason, then the egg can't be fertilised, meaning the chances of conception are greatly hindered, therefore contributing to infertility.
