Toxins And Fertility
Toxins and fertility are not a good mix. Toxins are basically unhealthy substances, that can be poisonous or irritate and aggravate your body.
Stress, smoking, and toxins accumulating in your body, even harsh household cleaners and bleached sanitary products can all hinder your fertility, it's knowing which ones to avoid or minimise that might just help you achieve pregnancy.
The following are considered harmful toxins that can affect your fertility:
- prescription and recreational drugs (for example some cancer treatment can cause infertility)
- workplace chemicals (such as pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, chemical solvents, PVC plastics)
- home environment substances (such as certain cleaning products full of chemicals, house paint, hydrocarbons from vehicle emissions etc)
Certain Foods, Beverages (such as MSG flavor enhancer, alcoholic beverages, contaminated meat, seafood, vegetables and fruit, food additives)
As human beings, we are surrounded by toxins – they are in our food, water, air, and homes. Knowing which ones can impair your fertility can help you to avoid them and give you a better chance at becoming pregnant.
Toxins and fertility aren't generally a good mix, and everybody is different, but for some who have a higher sensitivity or intolerance to certain things, it can be getting in the way of conception. Of course there are some toxins you just won't be able to avoid, but minimisation of toxin consumption is the key.
