What To Avoid and Minimise

Do you ever wonder about toxins in food, and what they may be doing to your body? Toxins can be responsible for allergic reactions, intolerances, and they can make your body not function properly - that includes if you or your partner are trying to get pregnant.
Some people are allergic or intolerant to different things. But the trouble lies in trying to find out what those 'things' may be that set you off.

Once you know your intolerances, or discover what is harmful to your body, than you are going to be able to avoid them which will help you feel better, and function better, whether your goal is to obtain optimum fertility or just to be able to go about your day to day activities feeling more energetic and vitalised.
There are many common toxins that affect people in general, so I have included a list below of known toxins in food and in things you may use in day to day activities that can wreak havoc with your body:

Vinclozolins – this is a fungicide which impairs the development and function of male sexual organs. It may be used on beans, peas, and even grapevines.

Methoxychlor (MCX) – found in common pesticides, this is used to kill flies, mosquitoes, cockroaches and other insects. This one can alter a gene in the female reproductive tract and also reduces the ability of the uterus to support the embryo implanting

Estrogen Mimics – found in paints, toiletries, pesticides, spermicide’s and even some plastics in water and baby bottles, can contribute to testicular cancer and poor semen quality in the male; and cause or contribute to endometriosis in the female

Xenoestrogens – found in most commercial meat and dairy products, one study has shown women with higher concentration of meat and dairy in their diet had an 80-100% higher risk of endometriosis. It should also be noted this one appears in soft plastic food storage containers along with cling wrap (especially once microwaved)

Phytoestrogens – found in plants, especially soy, this one has been linked to increased cancer risk, infantile leukaemia, and of course, infertility
It's impossible to eliminate all toxins in food and from your environment, but if you can minimise your intake of toxins than you are going to give yourself alot better chance at being able to conceive.
And if you are proactive in making sure you avoid toxins where possible, than you are doing all you can to give yourself the best chance at being able to conceive.
