You can choose whether you want to measure in pounds (english) or kilos (metric).Did you know that even carrying as little as an extra 10% of fat on your body can be detrimental to the conception process? It has been shown that being even slightly overweight can also result in miscarriage.
On the otherhand, if you are underweight it can lead to problems like premature labour and anaemia, that's why it doesn't hurt to run your figures through a BMI Calculator every once in a while, just to check in and make sure you are on the right track!
Manually Calculating Your BMI
So how do you work out your weight manually if you don't have access to the Calculator above? It's actually quite easy!Take the answer and divide it by your weight, let's say your weight is 75 kilos, you would continue working out the formula (in kilos), by going: 75 / 2.8224 = 26.5 - for this weight and height, the result is overweight.

If you have a high BMI, it isn't just your fertility that can be affected, there are many other problems that can arise like cancer, diabetes, heart disease, and the more obvious problem being obesity.
So if you do have a BMI that needs to be lowered, visit your doctor and see if you can come up with a plan of attack to be in a more healthy weight range.
