Your Hygiene
Can Impede Your Fertility:
Break Bad Habits Starting Now!
Your hygiene is something you shouldn't neglect, especially if you are trying to have a baby, or are already pregnant.
You may not have given it much thought, as you go about your daily activities, but how you care for your teeth is something that can affect your entire health, including your ability to get pregnant.
Not only that, it can even impact on your unborn baby.
Recent research has shown neglecting your teeth can even impact on fertility treatments.
Good health habits are something you can't forget about either once you are pregnant.
Gingivitis, which involves problems with your teeth and gums, has been linked to stillborn births as a result of the mother having it during pregnancy. For this reason alone it's critical you have good dental health.

How Can You Have Good Oral Health?
Make sure you brush regularly, atleast morning and night, along with flossing on a regular basis, preferably once a day in the early evening.
These are simple yet effective solutions to the problem.
If you have any major problems with your teeth, perhaps a visit to the dentist is in order to sort out underlying problems.
Not brushing or flossing leads to bacteria growing in your mouth.
Having bacterial infections can also result in fertility problems.
Bacteria can thrive on your tongue. Clean your tongue with a tongue scraper or cleanser.
Another problem you may get from poor dental health and poor hygiene is really bad breath, which is again a result of bacteria growing and thriving in your mouth. It's true we do need some bacteria, but not overgrown and out of control bacteria!
You can even end up with thrush in your mouth if you don't look after your teeth. But most of all, you may be stopping yourself from getting pregnant.
Eating healthier can also help reduce your risk of gum disease. So start today, if you don't have a regular routine in place already. It's never too late to try and improve your situation if you feel that you are losing the battle with your oral health.
