This is when you use gravity to help aid the process of conception by moving the sperm more easily towards the direction of the egg.
Combine this with having good fertile cervical mucus which will also help them swim through your bodily fluids more easily, and your chances increase furthermore.
Therefore, going with the gravity theory, having the woman on top during intercourse is strongly discouraged if you are looking to optimise your chances of conceiving.

Knelt Position

If you have a tipped uterus it may be better to try a different tactic, say with the woman on her hands and knees and the male partner from behind (commonly referred to as 'doggy style').
This position will allow better positioning for the sperm to reach the cervix. This is also generally a great position for getting pregnant too.
