Visit a Fertility Dr For a Check-Up To See If You Can Conceive

Visit a Fertility Dr
For a Check-Up To See If You Can Conceive

With some reports now showing up to 1 in 6 couples struggle to conceive, a visit to a Fertility Dr or General Practitioner is something you should do early in the piece if you planning on having a family.

It's true that most couples (90%) will get pregnant in the first 12 months of trying, but for those who don't, they usually find there is an underlying problem.
The earlier you can find out if you have an underlying problem, and what it may be, the better it will be for you and your partner.
So even if you do or don’t manage to become pregnant in your first year of trying, it’s still recommended to get a full check up – including a pap-smear and breast check, along with any vaccinations you may require.

How Can You Find A Fertility Doctor?

Your Fertility Dr may also wish to do a test for syphilis, which is similar to a pap-smear test. Doctors will normally test you for this sexually transmitted disease because it is a silent disease, one most people don't even realize they have, but that can render you infertile if left undiagnosed and unattended to.
Taking folate acid is crucial too as it will help decrease the incident of your baby having Spina Bifida, one of the most common birth defects.

    Folate can be found
    in the following foods:

spinach
  • Spinach
  • Broccoli
  • Brussel Sprouts
  • Asparagus
  • Berries
  • Avocado
  • Beef/Yeast Extracts (e.g. Vegemite)
  • Eggs
  • Bran Flakes
  • Chick Peas
  • Soy Beans
  • Oranges, and
  • Grapefruit

  • So make sure you see your local doctor to get the all-okay, or to at-least form a plan of action is everything isn't okay, that way you can continue on the right track to, hopefully, conception.
